SO WHY WORK FOR A COMPANY
An American banker was at the pier of a Caribbean village, when he got a small boat with just one fisherman. Inside the boat were several large yellow fin tuna size. The American complimented the fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch. The fisherman replied that only a while. The American asked why not stay out longer and catch more fish. The fisherman said he had enough to meet the immediate needs of his family. The American asked what he was doing with the rest of his time. The fisherman said: - I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, I fall every night to the village where I sip wine and play guitar with my friends. I have a nice life and busy. The American replied: - I'm from Harvard and could help. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat and with the proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats. Eventually you would have a fleet of boats pequeros. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to a processor and eventually open your own cannery. You would control the production, processing and distribution. You should leave this town and go to the capital, where you will run your expanding enterprise. The fisherman asked - But how long would all that? To which the American replied: - Between 15 and 20 years. - Then what? Asked the fisherman. The American laughed and said that was the best part. - When it's time you should sell your company stock to the public. You will become rich. Make millions! - Million ... And then what? - Then you would retire. You move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife every night down to the village where drinking wine and playing guitar with friends.
the fisherman replied, "And to think I do every day?
